Miriam C. McFarland is a woman who enjoys life in God by serving people. She is a Chicago native who first served in ministry under her father, the late Rev. Hiram Crawford Sr. After graduating from Oral Roberts University, where she met her husband (the late Pastor Bennie B. McFarland), she moved to Louisiana, taught high school and served in ministry under his leadership. Their ministry was founded by prayer, street witnessing, and a home Bible Study that grew into full-time ministry.
That same desire to see men, women, boys, and girls receive Christ and live out His divine purpose still burns within her heart. Building an authentic community of Christians is key to her calling. As she plants and waters the seed of God’s Word, her greatest joy is watching how He faithfully gives the increase. Pastoring the flock of Renew Church is an awesome honor that brings pure joy to her heart. She also enjoys music, NFL football (Saints, of course), and absolutely loves being mom to her adult children who sometimes try to be her parent.
